I have 14 slw eggs in the bator as I type. I decided on them after reading through this thread. So hopefully I will be able to join you all in a few weeks! I have to say though that today is duck hatching day instead of chicken hatching day! Lol we have one out and 2 more have pipped.

I am a novice with chickens, and wondered if I could get some expert advice. Will this SLW cockerel be good for breeding? He is 4 months old at the moment. I've also put a couple of pics of my hen as well for advice on her. Thanks for any replies!

I'm no expert but the back is a bit patchy, and the tail isn't show quality shape, I have lots on pet quality chickens that are great, I don't show/breed mine.

I NEED UR ADVICE.. I bought what was said to be a pair (meaning 1 boy,1 girl) of silver laced Wyandottes at the sale last weekend... well now I know they are both roo's.. one is way more dominate than the other and looks more mature as I heard him crow for the first time today. I got me 2 lady Wyandotte's today and when I put them in, the more dominate roo started fighting everyone.. the other roo and both hen's. He even made my other roo bleed. I separated him from the other 3..and the 3 are doing great together... but I'm wandering which of the roo's do I keep....I know they will need to get use to each other but I'm torn on which one to get rid of... any advice is appreciated..thanks
