Hurricane was standing near Eclipse, busying herself with grooming and replacing disheveled feathers.

Cyclone, looking like a drowned rat, was asleep in a soggy wet ball.

Unnerved, Firestorm moved to drink from the little spring in the cave. As he drank, he let his thoughts wander to the black mare from before. Why had he let Cyclone leave?
