THE SMOKERS QUIT CAMPAIGN - ADDITONAL NOTES

Thanks, EC.....I got it to go away with about a gallon of strong coffee and a handful of ibuprofen.

I was trying to avoid my coffee (which I drink every night) to help with quitting (I so often see that recommended). That is NOT a good choice for me.

How are you feeling this morning? Clean??????

Darling, I am feeling GOOD, clean and positive for 2009.....like Jena I will also be doing more cleaning today........and looking towards painting the house (again!).....keep positive.....

Painting sounds like so much fun!!!! However, with me moving in a year or so, I can't justify getting happy with walls riight now. As soon as I get moved, however, look out paint store!!!!!!

Glad you are feeling positive and good about this!!! You are doing great so far!!!

Don't envy you moving!!.....although I would like a bigger house, I keep telling myself...just more to clean and look after...and paint...and the thought of packing everything up...arghhhhh puts me off every time!..............

Where will you be moving too this time..

Night EC 1:30 AM here and milking time comes early. Happy new year to all and talk to you later. Stay on track folks, it is worth it.

Coffee is a bad idea for many during a quit because the metabolism slows and the caffeine builds to unusually high levels.

San Antonio, Texas and that is it!!!

I absolutely hate moving but we are pretty cramped here anyway (two of kids share a bedroom which I don't like). I am hoping to find a nice, older, farmhouse.

I want a HUGE old kitchen and an attic, and well, you get the idea.

I found one that is perfect and even in the right price range but it is too early.

HI ALL!!!!!

I am getting on here, I have been out and done all my outdoor work and have decided to have a pamper morning for the new me.... lol.

The girls are fed, wild birds are fed, dog is fed, all is well,so now I am going to have a good soak, wash my hair , change my clothes completely to fresh smelling one I just dried, and smell delicious, and then I am going to do all the eyebrow stuff and nails and watch a nice movie to make me feel good.

My hair is very long and curly so I it does retain smells, and it will feel so good to have a great soak, and come out with no nicotine smells anywhere.

Then I have to write up a kniting pattern for someone, and just relax.

Hope you are all feeling so positive. Put the money in the jar!!!!

It feels good.

Jena. xxx

Just thought this might be a help to all of us:

Benefits of leaving nicotine addiction behind:

2 hours Most of the nicotine is out of your system
6 hours Your heartbeat slows down to normal and your blood pressure goes down
24 hours The carbon monoxide is out of your system and your lungs work better
2 days Your senses of taste and smell improve
A few weeks The phlegm in your lungs loosens and you start to cough it up and get rid of it
2 months Blood flow to your hands and feet improves
1 year You have almost halved your risk of sudden death from heart attack
5 years You are almost as risk-free of sudden death from heart attack as a non-smoker

Just another little boost,

Jena.

Thanks for this Jena I am going to print it out.......

Today I am going to do more work on my publicity for my business.....

Write some letters for my DH..............

Wash eggs and box them up for the butcher and label boxes

The children have decided that finally the "playroom" upstairs is "Kids" stuff and they want it converted to a small gym.....so as a surprise I will endeavour to move all the old toys etc etc and put all the gym quipment in there....and maybe I can get on that darn treadmill without falling off!!

Or maybe the exercise bike is a better option....hmmmmm

Feeling good and still positive........
