Are you not having enough fun, with the excitement of your husband being home, and PMS and quitting smoking that you need to go and get some stitches too?

Why do people have to stress me out??? Well, I fell off the wagon and had a smoke today.

My FIL has home health that comes out and takes care of him. Well, the nurse told him that he was in congestive heart failure, so get someone to drive him to the hospital, do not drive himself. FIL and MIL live with my SIL and she does a POOR job of taking care of them. When she finally gets to the hospital, then she is griping to my FIL, that myself and my other SIL should not have hurried and went to the hospital to check on him.

She said that the home health nurse is a hypocondriac (sp.?) and that she didn't know what she was talking about. I snapped and told her that with my FIL's medical history and his current medical conditons, then everything should be taken seriously, no matter if it came from a hypocondriac nurse or not. (FIL has major medical conditions, heart condition, Parkensins, you name it, 76 yrs. old.)

To top it all off, her son (23ish yrs. old) was at the house and would not get up off of his stupid computer game to take his grandfather to the hospital. My FIL ended up driving himself to the hospital. These people just make me soooo mad.

Anyway, so I caved and had a smoke. Sorry for the rant, but thanks for listening. I am getting back on track now.

Dorothy

BTW, congrats. to all that haven't caved and we can still do this to all that have caved. Good luck to all.

Thanks, I needed that hug and I am not giving up. I just had a stumble...lol

I hope that your hands gets well soon. Congrats. on not giving in and smoking at that difficult time.

in times that are hard think about the people who dont smoke and are going thru the same thing, they dont need a silly cigarette to help them because YOU are in control of your body. not a piece of paper rolled into a tube with some yucky junk in it. u dont need them, you dont want them, you DONT have them.. thats a good step is ridding your house of them so even if your tempted u wont have any. i believe in you all.

Hi All,
Just got home from work and getting caught up with everything. I'm so proud of you all. The coughing and sniffles are your bodies getting rid of the poisons in your system. You'll start to notice odors almost immediately. The stink you talk about. I can now smell a smoker a block away. LOL
It's not failure if you fall off the wagon, just get right back on. I wore the patch for two years at work before I gave them up after work. Different ways for different people. Whatever works-the goal's the same. I don't have much time tonight so I'll leave with 2 words of advice:

LONG HOT SHOWERS

Like I told my husband, I haven't had stitches in a LONG time.

I guess it was time. LOL I tend to be VERY accident prone. LOL

Yes, and anyone can stumble. Not sure if you read about mine? I sat and cried for the first full day then smoked a full pack! Talk about a STUMBLE!!!! Hope the rest of your day has gone better and your FIL is alright, too.

Oh, Imp, they won't let me take LONG showers until my hand heals!!!

Short hot showers will have to do I suppose.
