Thanks!!!;)

Allan looked over his shoulder as he walked briskly down the dark alley, he slipped into the shadows ... Then didn't reappear. He reappeared in the shadows of HQ, listening in on the conversation with interest, not coming out of the shadows. Only the sound of his breath would let someone detect his presence.

Alina felt prickles down her back, sensing the presence of someone else's emotions. She said nothing, but turned briefly to Calder and the others.
"I'm off," she said, "But you can come over whenever you're ready. I'll clear out the rooms,"

Calder nodded as Alina turned and swept out, her long sparkling blue cloak swishing around her skinny ankles.

[FYI: I'm just going to do a description of Alina's home as she arrives, the others can't see this but it might be useful when they come around]

Alina walked up the tree-lined avenue, the dusty-blue cloak swirling softly about her ankles like falling snow. Her home had the many-paned windows that told of a lost era and the red bricks were nearly smothered by glossy ivy and wisteria. The door was painted scarlet and the gold numbers '41' were tarnished with age.

Inside the house, a hallway stretch on with doors to the left and right. On the left, a spacious sitting room, tastefully furnished, was barely visible through the door. On the right, a dining room, with another door leading into the kitchen behind.

Alina ran straight up the wide old stairs that hugged the wall, past the closed door that led to her bedroom, and into 'her' room. It occupied most of the upper floor, and was filled with everything her immense curiosity allowed.

In one corner, a half finished robot-something with electric cables coming out of various places. Another was filled with dried plants, potted plants, and an old mortar and pestle. Above this table was a shelf filled with bottles containing queer-looking potions, labelled with spidery handwriting that was a far cry from the hastily-scribbled 'beetle tracks' of earlier. By one of the big windows that stretched across one entire side of the room, an easel and oil paints stood, not quite finished. Books of all sorts were scattered in various places. In the centre of the room was a domed window. A telescope, on a stand, and several diagrams lay scattered beneath it. By another window, a sewing machine stood on a spacious table, with something made of velvet laid across it.

But it was not towards any of these that Aliana headed. She walked purposefully past a set of test tubes holding all kinds of murky substances, and a half-built wooden contraption that appeared to have wings, and retrieved a set of old keys from an equally old bookshelf, before turning and heading out - back downstairs.

Then the remarkable thing happened. She deftly swung up one of the stairs - the hinge beautifully concealed - and slipped down the ladder that revealed itself.

Lottie rolled her eyes, “I’m out of here too,” she said. And don’t be surprised if I don’t come back, she thought angrily before briskly limping out at a quick pace.
"Alright, goodbye," Lila turned to Mark. "I'd better go home too."
He nodded. "I'm staying here. I have a few projects to work on."

Calder, too, showed no sign of bothering to leave. He wasn't entirely sure what he was meant to do with his time, but still...

Alina, having clambered down the ladder, found herself in a tiny closet-sized room, dimly lit by a single bulb swinging from the ceiling. The yellowed wallpaper was peeling in many places - that is, where it could be seen and wasn't hidden by boxes.

Calder sauntered over, looking bored, "I guess," he said, casually.

(should Lila head to Alina's?)
(Yeah, I guess.)
Lila turned into the long drive to the house, walking quickly. She opened the door, and stepped into the hall.

"Okay, so I'll need you to grab that power coupling over there, and attach it to this cable." Mark said.
