The Society of Truth, an RP

Allan looked over his shoulder as he walked briskly down the dark alley, he slipped into the shadows ... Then didn't reappear. He reappeared in the shadows of HQ, listening in on the conversation with interest, not coming out of the shadows. Only the sound of his breath would let someone detect his presence.

Allan slipped out of the shadows and walked up behind mark quietly, no one had noticed him yet. " I've found you!" He said sarcastically in a deep voice that mimicked the programers, Allan chuckled as there faces went from confusion and panic to slight annoyance." Gotcha"

"Excellent," Alina breathed. "You could get Mark round here if you liked. He'd probably love it!" she laughed, gesturing to the glowing lights and half-finished robotic contraption in one corner. "It gets a bit explosive sometime but that's never too big of an issue."

She turned to the blackboard and put down a new idea, "Hide under the Programmer's nose,"

"It would be funny to do that literally," Calder commented, sarcastically. He turned and gazed out of a window, accidentally knocking over a beaker of a dark fluid. Alina reached out with a gasp and grabbed it before too much could spill. Ugly burns appeared on her hand but she shrugged it off and reached for another chemical.

"Don't touch, either of you," she warned.
"Gosh, Calder," Lila said, "Try not to break her stuff for like one second."

"Very funny," Mark grumbled, "You're a real comedian."

"Gosh, Calder," Lila said, "Try not to break her stuff for like one second."
Alina just laughed, "My fault. Leaving the fuel there was an accident waiting to happen."
"Fuel?" Calder said absently, but his eyes were on her red-splotched hand.
"For a sort of one-person flying machine I'm working on," Alina explained, pouring the other chemical over the fuel. There was a sort of sizzling noise and both chemicals dissolved in a mass of blue smoke. She opened a window to clear the air with a smile.

"Sorry, Lila," she said, "I've forgotten what you'd started saying. That Mark's scanner didn't show... something?"

"It didn't show whether it's being used or not. If people are down there, then there's no way we can stay in there," Lila said regretfully, "But he's working on another scanner, so hopefully that one will show us more."

Alina's eyes drifted to the sleek metal exterior pieces of her current project. "I wonder..." she mused. "I wonder if I could make this autonomous and fix a scanner to that? It'd be less risky than us flying around, and I daresay Mark would help with controlling it,"

Calder, his eyes still fixed on Alina's burn, frowned. "You should do something about that burn," he said, "Here, give me your hand,"

Without waiting for a reply, he took her hand and healed it. She smiled her thanks, before walking over to the corner filled with plants and smearing a clear gel on it. "Aloe vera," she explained.

(GTG, see y'all tomorrow morning!)
