"I've a feeling this is Alina's mother and sister." Calder replied, frowning as he pushed more boxes towards the ladder.

"Okay. And how tall is the Palace - I haven't ever measured!" Alina asked, with a smile. "One thing it never occurred to me to be curious about!"

Alina glanced around hearing Tara's voice, "No worries," she said warmly, "And you can explain or not explain whenever you want."

She turned back to Mark, "By the way - are you done with me for the moment? I have something else I need to do,"
(Yeah, I get that. It makes it easier to write them convincingly.)

Alina smiled and got right to work, leaving Mark to finish attaching the antenna to the aircraft. He was more than capable and she knew it.
Tara watched Mark work tilting her head, she had no idea what he was making.
Alina, busily drilling hole for screws into the frame, turned and watched too.
"Her mom and sister are dead?" Lila asked, "I guess I didn't think about why her family wasn't around."

Mark noticed Tara watching him, "I'm attaching this antenna so that we can get still accurate scans at a further distance," he explained.

Charlotte set off towards wherever she assumed Alina’s house was, fortunately she was right. She knocked on the door, she had been there once before and she remembered it
Alina heard the knock. She leaned out of an open window and pushed her safety goggles up. It was Charlotte. "Just a second! I'm coming!" she called

She ran down the stairs after pausing to maneuver around the open hatch and opened the door. "Hey," she said.

Calder nodded, "Mm. Her mom died a long time ago. Her sister - I didn't know about that. Her dad works pretty long hours and I haven't seen him in ages. His dad and mine used to work together."

“Hi” Charlotte replied “I thought I would come but on second thought maybe I’m just going to go”
