The Society of Truth, an RP

"Yeah, you probably would just scoff and say, 'Talk like a human being for once.' " Lila imitated Calder's voice perfectly.

"Copper," Mark replied.
Calder grinned. "Neat reply," he said, for once sincere. He shifted another box and a sheaf of papers slipped off the top of it.

Alina nodded and clipped a long length of the pure copper wire. "Can I have one of your antennas to base this on? I haven't done an antenna for quite a while."

(I was going to have some of these papers be death certificates of Alina's family... would that muck things up? It doesn't have to be if y'all would rather not)

"Hey, what are these papers?" Lila wondered.

"Sure, here," Mark handed her an antenna.

Calder picked them up and handed them to her with a shrug, "No idea. No surprise that I'm the one who knocked them off, either,"

"Hmm," Lila took the papers from Calder, and examined them. "It looks like they're death certificates."

"No problem," Mark said.

Calder turned quickly, in surprise. "They're--what?"

Alina wrapped a layer of plastic tubing around the bottom of the antenna and fixed thick copper wire to it, before walking back to Mark. "Hey, will this work? You can use the end wire to connect it straight up to the scanner,"

"Yeah, that's fine. Okay, I think I've done all I can. Attaching the antenna should increase the range by at least 50%," Mark took the antenna.
