"Go ahead," Chris said with a smile. "Sit down and help yourself before it's all cold."

Alina pulled her red hair off her face and swiftly plaited it down one side, taking the seat next to her father.

"Thank you all, more like. Tara and you did a ton to help me." Alina replied, evading the compliment neatly. "By the way, where is Tara?"

Isabel took a small portion of food and sat down. "Thank you." She took a bite, and added, "And thank you to everyone who made this food, it sure is delicious!"
