The Society of Truth, an RP

(I know. But this is so hard.)
"I can try." Calder finally decided. "I can only try."
Alina was buried too deep in the Latin of her manuscript to notice them. She had found the word 'temporary' associated with 'loss of abilities' and this electrified her, but, true to her nature, she had said nothing.
“Like you said your powers aren’t as strong...” she whispered thinking back to the letter “but it’s worth a shot”

(Sorry!)
"Mm. They might not be able to deal with this, but if they can..." Calder bit his lip. "Oh, wait. One more thing. How do you teleport? Is it a mind thing, or a hand movement... a thought?"

I um I picture the place in my mind and it just usually happens and takes me there” she said with a faraway look in her eyes.
"It's a mind thing," Calder said. "Okay. I can focus my attentions there."

He shifted so that he could reach over and touch her head. "Hold still."

His hands on either side of her head, he began sending pulses of flashing green energy through Tara's mind. He filled every nook and cranny of her thoughts with that green glow. It was vibrant and bright at first, but the more he did the less it glimmered. Eventually he pulled back, and leaned heavily on one wall.
"I've given you all I can. You want to try again?"

She nodded and stood closing her eyes she imagined the hallway, she felt the familiar air spin but then nothing instead it placed her back on the ground hard and she fell in a heap “thanks Calder for everything.” She gave him a slight smile “but I don’t think anyone can do anything” she whispered “I think that was their way of telling me I’m not a member of the programmer’s society anymore”
