The Society ~ RP

Alexis moved to Stormdancer's right side, searching the ground for a good place to make camp.
Danika squirmed a bit, getting as comfortable as she could in Alexis' grip.

Gwen looked around the gym, wondering what would happen next.

Charles and Sonya moved to the viewing room over the gym.

Chelsea squinted below, scanning her eyes over the landscape, looking for a good spot to stay. It was a little hard to see the ground past bunny, but it wasn't so bad. She saw a jagged hole in the mountain side, and turned to Stormdancer. "Storm! I think I see a cave we might stay in!" Chelsea shouted over the bitter cold wind. Stormdancer looked where Chelsea was pointing. She cupped her wings, stopping and hovering. "Guys, Chelsea saw something. We're going down to check it out." Stormdancer said. She flew downwards, flapping hard to stay upright. She landed on the stone surface of the cave, promptly falling on her rear. After flying for a while, having legs under her felt a little odd.
Chelsea landed with more grace, making no noise. She set bunny down on the floor, rubbing her arms from carrying her for so long. Firebird landed next, her wings still flaming and crackling. Her presence lit up the cave they had landed in.

Alexis landed easily, releasing Danika and looking around. She rubbed at her arms, then looked back the way they had come.

Danika sniffed and entered the cave, looking around inside it.

Chelsea perched up on a ledge in the wall, crouching. Stormdancer peered deeper into the cave. It was bigger than it looked from the outside. Stalactites and icicles hung from the ceiling, dripping from the heat of Firebird's wings. Her fire casted odd, dancing shadows on the walls. Every noise made a little echo. Stormdancer looked up, then, at the mouth of the cave. It was getting darker outside, and she wondered if it had been a good idea to shelter in the cave. She shivered from the cold of the snow outside.
Now that she had some time to think about things, she wondered about her rash decision to break out of the scientist lab, or whatever it was. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now she had to feed and protect the other girls. Feeding the herbivores would be hard, as there was little greenery under the snow. And as for the carnivores... we'll have to hunt, she thought.
She wondered about her transformation she had made to escape the lab. It was so weird to think about, she almost thought that it was a dream. That, maybe the whole thing was a dream, and she would wake up in the morning, in bed. Human. Not whatever she was now.
It did kind of make sense, to be a dream. It was certainly strange enough. but then, why couldn't she remember anything? Why was she so cold? No. it was too real, and yet to unreal.
She took to pacing. It was getting later. They needed to find food, and make sure the cave was secure, and set up guard systems for overnight.

Back at the lab, chaos reigned. Matthew ran up to the roof, coffee mug in one hand, tranquilizer gun in the other. He climbed another set of stairs, then came out on the helicopter pad on the roof. (why not? ;D) He boarded the helicopter, which already had a few frantic scientists in it. Jenna followed him up. "Wait!" She called, her white lab coat flying out behind her as she ran up to the 'copter. "I'm coming, too." She said. "NO. it isn't safe. Go home, Jenna." He said. "...but..." Jenna said. "Go home. It isn't safe with all the splices loose."
"Then it isn't safe for you either!" Jenna said hotly. Matthew gave her a stern look, before closing the door of the helicopter.
Jenna stomped off, her face red. She stomped down all the stairs and and to her car, parked in the underground garage. She sat down hard in the driver's seat and slammed her car door behind her. She put her face in her hands frusteratedly.

"This cave is huge" Danika said, emerging from the depths. She grinned, looking around at the others with her tail wagging slightly. "It goes all the way through the mountain."

Alexis shivered as she watched the way they had come. "They have a helicopter" She informed the others, seeing it with her eagle eyes.

Gwen sighed as the guards retreated back to their posts, out of sight. The room they had woken in was completely sealed off from them now, only the living areas open.

Charles watched quietly as Sonya turned on a screen inside the gym. The video that played showed a short film about the society, it's founders and it's outward mission to help all the earth's people so there would be no more wars, or orphans.
