Narfary was drinking some water from the river. He was more himself now. His sister, the brine of his existence, ever by his side. She wouldn't give up on him. He growled at her as she splashed water on him.

Dusty lapped up water from the river. She heard a noise from upstream. Dusty walked upstream ready to fight for her pup and for food. Even of her own kind.

Amara could smell, Dusty near, she growled under her breath

I watched my pup play in the weeds and then I heard a growl. I grabbed my pup by the scruff of her neck and growled loudly.

Narfary heard Amara's slight growl, he huffed to his other sister, Magdelegna. She looked back at him. He and Siena headed over to Amara to close ranks around their alpha. Magdelegna got the message and trotted over, too. They all just stood there and waited for the attack. Their stance wide, teeth bared and heads slightly down. Ready to lunge at Amara's first uttered order.

Dusty saw the dogs through the weeds in attack position. Dusty took her pup and wandered the other direction. Her pup whined " I'm hungry mum" I said to her " I know, I know, There's not much I can do. If we find a meal then we are very lucky..."

Dusty is very weak, she walked aimlessly in search of food. She hunted down small game but gave most of it to her pup.
