And, opinions do matter, it is people like myself with strong opinions that work on changing things and actively participate in their communities. It is people who just give up and think their opinion does not matter any more, that create idleness.

You should reread my post. I was not questioning your intelligence before, but now I'm beginning to question your comprehension skills.

No, I'm not moving. And I don't think it's appropriate to say someone is whining just because they state an opinion that is different than yours. I am active in making a difference. I fully participate in all elections. I was in the armed services. When I see government violating rights and overstepping their bounds, I scream loud. I'm not going to be a sheep that follows blindly and believes everything fed to me by politicians and the media. Insinuating that people who disagree with you are whiners is insulting. Let's all play nice so the thread doesn't get closed.

It has been interesting, we are all in the same boat, but it is clear that we all have different ideas.

I don't know what the answers are, I am just muddling along right now but I am very concerned for the future and for my sons.

In the UK I really think that so many people here are also looking to America for answers. This could be because we are now so disillusioned with our own politicians that we are looking in your direction for help...lol.

Certainly seems that way.

I am gonna do my best not to rely on the government. It is apparent to me they are clueless. I just hope if and when crap hits the fan the government does not confiscate my crops to give them to those too lazy to grow their own.
