The story of 14 amazing chickens rescued from abusive homes.....

It's so awesome that you did that for the chickens!

But it completely sucks that you had to give the lady money to do it

She's prolly just gonna continue her hurtful chicken-raising/abusive ownership. Hopefully she won't. I really hope she won't...

But still, such lovely chickens

I had to read your post quickly so I wouldn't cry! I'm so glad they have a wonderful life, that's excellent. Absolutely agree with you, and God bless you too.

That's so nice to hear

I'm sure all those birds are very thankful for their new homes! What's sad is that those over-bred hens shown, . . . We've got people who raise chickens like that out here, and sadly, there's no one around saying it is wrong.

However, the Gamecock doesn't look like he's fought a single match in his life? (comb not dubbed or scarred at all) By nearly dead do you mean neglection?

He actually was found in a barrel behind the actual "pit" he apparently was used only for "sparing" and was never actually fit due to the fact that he grows feathers on his feet. He was neglected badly and lived in a barrel with a lid on it in complete darkness. Sorry for the confusion!

Those hens also are also victims of my stupidity as well. I couldn't catch Big Ben due to trespassing laws and had no coop for the hens but I now have the situation under control but I have to take some blame as well because I can't lie. They are also very sick still but improving daily. I am feel so guilty for taking so long (about two weeks) but they looked worse when they first came to me.

Thank you for your support.
