I just wanted to say thank you for everyone who suggests running twine across an area to deter hawks. I’ve had no problems free ranging my girls until the past month when a few red tails and a golden eagle showed up and won’t leave them alone. I want them to still have time in the grass time so I just put up a tiny fence I can move around until I figure out how to scare those suckers off. They were around today and didn’t come anywhere near!

I see that you have netting over your run. You just wanted your girls to graze on some of the greens outside. :thumbsup
WISHING YOU BEST ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:highfive:

We open the run gate to a fenced part of our garden too...mainly because our cats destroyed my seedlings...twice and nothing is growing there. We are having the exact same problem with redtails and I'll have to try string!
