Girls. No. Just, no.

Limu was hollering at 530 this morning so I let her out of jail and she went to check out the new girl. Now Apollo is carrying on. My poor neighbors (at least they're still not as loud as the apparently outdoor dogs in the neighborhood)!

Apollo! That's not your pen! She pushed under the chicken wire this morning. By the time husband found her all the other girls were ignoring her. But he checked the camera and said they all jumped her as soon as she got lose.

Apollo 😭 I scooped her up from underneath and then we both just kinda looked at each other like "now what?" I realized I couldn't just drop her back over the gate, because dropping 4 feet onto rocks would probably hurt. But I was planning on moving her into a crate in the garage tonight so I also didn't want to put her down and have to chase her. I was in the process of moving said crate from the run into the garage, so I couldn't hold her either because I needed both hands!

I enlisted the 12yo to hold her while I finished moving the crate. And just before I finished getting the crate set up, she squirmed and he dropped her. In the driveway. So I had to chase her anyway! She's turning out to be such a handful! Nobody tell Limu Apollo might become my new favorite chicken

That's a pretty defiant look on her face, she was double-dog-daring you to move her... 🤣

Just catching up on the thread, My Rhode island red chick is very vocal just like yours used to be. Every time i take the water she yells at me lol and defiantly very vocal always. Also that cookies and cream is beautiful. Been looking at them from meyers but dont want to order just one chick and can't really house many more atm.
