Mine are two weeks ahead of you? Not sure, but I have only seen pink/red development in one of my chicks comb ("Lily"). The other's comb is just skin colored ("Ivory"). Maybe I got lucky with only one cockerel and a pullet.Ok, so my sultans are 3 weeks old now, and I looked closely at their combs (mostly hidden in the puff ball's heads) and noticed 4 out of 12 were quite red while the others were still skin colored. We always hear that they can't be sexed until they're grown, but has anyone ever tried to check by looking at the comb/top of head coloring? It's pretty distinctive, however a couple were in between. Called one a boy the other a girl, they could both be boys or girls, LOL. Anyway, I'm going to keep an eye on it and see if more develop color, and when? I'll try to take pictures, but I think I'll require help as I had to turn them on their backs and part their crests to get a good look.
Any ideas?
X1000!!!Thanks Kiaa, but nothing like what you have in Azerbaijan! We need more pictures from you!![]()
no, sadly they can't be shown as they only have 4 toes each, but carry the 5 toe gene (apparently).X2!!!![]()
