I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to keep my roos and still go away for a week in the spring
My Charlie is so loud! He does stay quiet in his box (kept dark) until I let him out between 9:30 and 10:00 AM, then he belts out his crows with enthusiasm, LOL. I'm hoping my nephew will come in the evenings and put the boys in a (future) rooster box that I'd build inside the coop. Then, with an automatic door opener (planning on the "Add a Motor" one) Have it open both the coop door and the roo box door at the same time (using pulleys) so that he can be released along with his ladies at 9:30 AM. And then I must hope and pray all my neighbors are not night workers that sleep during the day
Oh, I didn't realize it was hatching eggs you got! I thought you had day old chicks coming for some reason!!! How awesome! Where did your eggs come from, Jharper?
This has nothing to do with sultans, but I set up a hatching cam for my eggs that are due tonight/tomorrow if anyone's interested in taking a peek http://www.ustream.tv/channel/kaitlynhokanson3
