You can order eggs.

Just warning, Sultans truely are a "pet" breed. They have hardly any meat on them, they lay very few eggs and are seasonal, and they don't start to lay until they're WAY older than other chickens. They are also so docile, they might get picked on by other flock members (I keep mine separate) The roos are quite noisy.

On the other hand, they're so fun to watch, adorable, silly sweet (but skittish when they can't see well) and very pretty. I feel like I have a cockatoo instead of a chicken, LOL.

It's really unfortunate but it seems the "bigger" breeders around here have given up on them. Hopefully someone around here will know where to get some, but I don't know who still has them! These rare breeds don't make any money. Ultimately, people still want functional chickens, and breeders can't make money off these birds so they have to give up on them.

It's sad........ I hope you can find a breeder! Good luck!

Well only 2 of the 9 hatched from the first batch which is TERRIBLE. Two were in the wrong position, one had a defect, one was a sticky chick, and the others just quit *shrug*. I have 5 more due tomorrow so we'll see what happens to those......

And yes, they are all together! :D So far 4 sultans and the 2 incubator babies.

such fluffiness!!!!!! I really want to hatch my own. It is so cool watching them hatch. just a miracle.

Victoria and Elizabeth are 5 weeks today. I have not noticed any change in color on Victoria/Victor's comb any more. Elizabeth and Victorias crest are the same in shape and style. Victoria is getting more tufts of feathers on her cheeks than Elizabeth, but Elizabeth is getting just as curious and 'agressive' as Victoria. maybe? maybe???????
