Hello fellow Sultan owners! How is everyone today?!
Zanzibar is convinced he is the hottest thing in the yard lately. I don't think he has figured out quite how to breed the ladies, though. He just likes to chase them incessantly until I am ready to kick him over the fence. Haha.
Raja seems to be ok. Her eye is still about the same. Going to retreat everyone with Frontline this weekend to make sure I really get those critters for good. I had to do big time cleaning of the coop yesterday on my day off. I got SOOOOO many feathers! I will be really happy when it doesn't look like a chicken has exploded in the coop. Everyone loves having their feet trimmed. I may just keep them trimmed down from now on. They still over exaggerate hopping into the coop but they are roosting now.

Pardon his chopped legs/vulture hocks!
She seems ok, I am very upset about it, and am still tending to her. One of the other big motivators to try something other than perethrin dust, tbh. Let's see.. Leave it to a sultan to come up with something funny. I found one on TOP of the avian netting this morning. She wasn;t there when I let all the ladies out, as our neighbor lost a roo to a fox, and when I came back with a big bucket of feed to restock... there she was, very confused and sagging down right at eye level. I had to drag a ladder into the pen and then pull her out. Such a silly girl! She was very appreciative to be found, clucked to me, and went right to picking scratch with the rest of the lot. Lol. Hope everyone else's birds are doing well.
