I have a pair that should start producing this spring! I'll keep you updated if you keep me updated. I got these two as a "bonus" with some other banties I bought, and lo and behold, my "chicken ambivalent" DH fell in love with them, so I added one more breed to the "need a pen" list for the spring and held onto them. I'm glad I did because they are very personable, mellow little birds.

I feel so lucky to have come across healthy Bantam Sultans for sale in Brooksville, FL.
We havent picked a name yet because we are not positive of the sex yet.
She (hopefully she) is the most easy going chicken we have ever had. She loves to be petted and cuddled and is perfectly happy with a small space. we have her in quarantine with a crevecouer chick and a peachick in a graco playpen inside the house. She is the only one who could care less about coming out and exploring. as far as chickens breeds go , i would say the sultan is the most calm of all- we have her with a 2 day old peachick and she was nicer to it than a broody hen.we love her/him
what do you think- Hen or Roo? Not sure of her age but the breeder thinks around 9 weeks
