It doesn't get too cold here. The coldest it's ever gotten, I think, is 28 degrees at night. Those kinds of temps are very rare. We usually only get down to the mid 30's with the rare frost. Inside a coop, it shouldn't be too bad. At least I hope it's not too cold!

If anyone has time, or maybe this weekend, it'd sure be nice to see some pictures

I'd love to see any adolescents or adults

I forgot to take pics of Jazzy this weekend (that's when I visit my parents' house where the chickens are). She's so pretty! Her feathers are filling out more every week

I'll take pictures of my 2 week olds tomorrow. They are so cute! I have named one Ivory, but I haven't found a fitting name for the other one yet. Hope you look forward to them!!

Friday, my chicks will arrive, hopefully safe and sound (they're supposed to hatch at the hatchery tomorrow

so, I'm really excited!

Well, Ideal called and said they only had 3 sultans, so I told them I'd wait another week for the whole order. I hope that was the right decision!. Now I fear they'll call next week and say they have no Sultans and won't have more until Spring, LOL

On the other hand, I had a nightmare last night that my incubators were stuffed full of chicks and I had no place to put them, LOL. So actually, If I don't get the older birds out of the brooder before my hatch, I can use the second brooder for them until I make room, since the Sultans will take another week

Sometimes you have to wonder if there is a divine power that tweeks little things in life so you don't fall on your face so often, LOL

Same thing happened to me. I ordered just two little Sultans and they said that they wouldn't have any for at least another week!

I was going to switch out breeds but, then I got to looking at pictures of Sultan btms and I decided (it was oh so very, very hard!) to wait another week. I was so frustrated!

But they arrived a week later and were sooooo cute, I wasn't mad any more.

I'm going to get some pictures right now.

Yes, well, I wanted 12 and they only had 3, so... yah, big difference, LOL. I also have some Crevecoeur chicks coming with them, so I'm worried they won't be ready next week either! Ugh! LOL But they do this all the time, I am sure they'll be ok
