THE SWAP THREAD "FEBRUARY"

I will take anything, prefer geese as I have none. I have mixed duck, and purebred standards.

Thanks. Love that you have the time and energy to do all this. Thank you so much.

I'm devastated! I got my eggs today and they are all crushed. I can't even tell if they were bantam or standards or what! I opened them in the truck outside the PO because I was so excited (even though I had a load of welsummers in there with me!) and I couldn't believe it! They were freshly crushed too. I marched back in there and showed the lady and said, "this is just not acceptable! Someone paid good money to send me these eggs and look at them!" This isn't the first box I've gotten with broken eggs in it THIS YEAR either. I'm just heartbroken. It was marked fragile and everything. They have one place that they "claim" is using a small truck, in transport from Rocky Mount, NC to Ahoskie, NC that they say he really has to squeeze them in. But that is just NOT acceptable. Good money down the drain.
I'm sorry for venting, but right now I'm closer to crying so would rather say it here and then at least say a big thank you to my secret swap partner for sending them. I'm going to have the kids pick out seven of my own eggs in and not tell me which. I'll candle in a week and find out what they snuck in at that point for me. I'll just say they are "for my secret swap". Total bummer!

I know you are devasted.I sent eggs to Nebraska and Oregon last week and none were broken.I sent my swap partner theirs Saturday and they should have gotten them but I haven't heard. Was the eggs packaged so that they should have made it?

The paper shreds were good and tight in the box and there was no external apparent damage to the box.
I have high hopes everyone else's make it safely. It's not the norm. to have them all broken like that, I know. It's still a fun thing...to swap. I wish I knew what they were...
