i candled mine and all but one has growth,

pretty awesome considering their air cells were floating around.

I candled mine on Wednesday and all of them were fertile but one had a blood ring. I can't wait for these babies to hatch.

GDMOM, some others and I have tried this year to get hatches out of TACs [or floating air cells] that were fertile and growing. one of mine even made it to the hatcher alive. but when it comes down to it, the air cell needs to be the proper size in order for the chick to fully develop, and then needs to be in the proper postition for the chick to get it's first breath and pip properly.

sad to say, esp with shipping problems, but I for one WILL always toss those. i can't see starting to grow something that really is failed to die...

but i am sure someone has had success...

I have had success. not great odds but i have. I too used to toss them out but not any more. I purchased some special eggs again this year and all 8 (again) had floaters. two did make it to the hatcher, both hatched but one died shortly after it dried and moved to the brooder. but....... one is fine and healthy about 5 weeks old now.

I leave them in the upright position with a slight tilt for hatching and make sure i don't over humidify them.

great deal! so when you say uprigth, are you using the carton method? i am trying that this time. but even with XL cartons, there isn't any wiggle or leaning room in the holders...

i sure WISH mine had made it. was a mille fleur d'uccle
