The things "they" don't tell you about baby chicks...

Really?? They poop their weight?? That's one hell of a diet plan!

Yes so true next year I think I will mosey into Orschlens and tell them what I want and that I want them at straight run price cuz they cant gaurantee pullets. And one is free since it was a roo!

They also don't warn you how adorable they are.....

That they are easy to litterbox train... as long as your litter box looks suspiciously like a chick waterer.

That they are so fun to watch hatching out of an egg that you can't leave the incubator.
And if they are mail ordered you'll become familiar with the term "pasty butt".

That you just can't sell any because you know you'll never find another one quite the same

Then you realize you can't keep them all, so you finally sell some, then wind up getting more than you had in the first place!

I completely understand. My girls have been out in their coop for about 6 weeks. I had my husband build the coop outside my bedroom window for amny reason but mostly because I can see and hear them. The first week they were out there I didn't sleep at all, woke up with every noise I heard. When the weather gets cold and I need to shut the windows I will be putting a baby monitor in so I can sleep. The coop and run are tighter than fort knox but they are still my girls!!
