I'm new to the site, but not new to chickens. Between YouTube and encyclopedia I did well for 3 years with no problems. Are Welsummers problematic? Out of 8 Rhode island Reds, 10 Buff Orpingtons, 8 Black Giants, 8 Americanas and 8 Barred Rocks we had no sickness or disease. The Welsummers are dropping like flies. Green Diarrhea, weaknesses, limping and now a twisted neck. What is it? I need help.

Sorry you are having trouble. :hmm

Sounds like maybe a nutritional deficit (vit E and Selenium) or Marek's... Wellsummer in general are NOT problematic.

What is their age? Were they vaccinated for anything? What are you feeding including treats and supplements? How much space? How old are the ones you are losing? Recent weather?

If you lose anymore, I highly suggest refrigerating the body and getting a necropsy to determine cause of death. Links to help with that...
