The true cost of building your own coop -

Hi Mulia and All.....
I am getting soooo many laughs reading these posts...then running out back to repeat what I've read to DH that is putting roof shingles on coop.
Mulia..I think that YOU did a great job of building that coop ! I bet your girls are very PROUD of you ! :)) And thankful !
I was about 14 and living in ME when I built my first coop...all on my own ! No help, no power tools. Wasn't too straight but the girls did not complain.
When we are finished with coop I will post pics or a page. If I had built it would just be a box with a slanted roof...but DH is a little more accomplished then I am. :- )) OR MORE AFRAID OF WHAT I MIGHT CREATE ???
OH YES..so far FREE from scraps in cellar and attic and collected from friends. Hey, cleaned out attic and cellar of wood !

Mulia, I understand that it would be easier for you if you had power tools; my husband is glad he has them. But you have done a great job with what you have, and for many of us that is the important thing. The difference in the cost of living is great; what many of us do would not cost much in our country, although it seems like a lot in your country. That is why the internet is good...we can compare all the different ways of doing things. I live in Canada, and you are a long way from here, but I could not afford the cost to fly there, either.

Thank you for sharing with us.

My coop is a prefab barn (storage shed) that cost $250.00. I call it "The Chicken Barn".My DH thought I fell off the sausage truck when I started talking about chickens.

oh thank you, but em, maybe they won't to be proud enough to me when rain water drop on their head when they are sleeping because i use old (omg, what do you call it in english) silver plat that cheap and use as roof that have some *hole*/leakage from corrosion.

and thankfully that my girls and roost can't also complain me since they don't understand human language and can only stay behind the wire

will much help cutting time of building and easier us to build.
that's it, the living cost do the point, if a man rich here, he will be (perhaps) not rich (just like a common people) or even poor if he go to abroad, e.g: US or UK. but if a man from US or UK come here, if he is poor then he will be just a common people here and if he is common at his homeland, he will be rich enough here.
