If they get annoying, I can just shut them in the coop and walk away. Try locking your kids up for any length of time, and see what happens.

wow! glad i got neutered/spayed when I did a few years back. before i had any children too!!!!!!!!!

After mine were allowed to free range, I could not lock them up for the day. Sounded like a prison riot out there. They have the loudest, most annoying note that goes on and
on for hours, as well as trashing the place and breaking eggs. They stand in a group at the gate and demand to be let out to range.

Have you ever noticed that people speaking a foreign language on their cell phones in a public place are less annoying than people speaking English on their cell phones in a public place? The chickens aren't speaking English.
