The Underappreciated Hybrids Thread

I know and its nice! It can really up the appreciation of barnyarders. but I don't think they'll ever have the same respect as purebreds..,. and with good reason though, some would say.

Most all of my laying hens are mixes. Those are fun to hatch & try to figure out who's who.

I have one named tilly. We know her dad was Tillman, a white silkie. No idea on mom but tilly came out black with light lacing, a moe three stooges mop hairdo, 5 toes.

Wow! My hybrids have massive gold mops, fuzzy down, and 9 toes each! Plus THE STRANGEST combs ever- mix between rose, 3-pointer and a V-comb...They are pretty though!

Polish and silkie, but they are more polish... funny though because their tails don't look polish and their parents were black and white and they are so gold.... Lovely though!

I’ve got a number of hybrid pullets - a few EEs, a Green Queen, midnight majesty Marans, sapphire gem, sapphire splash, amberlink ... feel like I’m forgetting someone

Haha they're roos! Polish lay quite well but not these ones... they used to have 2 sisters but a fox took care of that........

She loves roos and their colors but is always afraid they will flog her. Can't have more babies without us fellas. Lol
I uhm discourage foxes every chance I get.
