Alena frowned."Well...at least she is pretty." Gwen sat up. "Why him though? What will i dooooo?" She started to sob again.
Edwin laughed. "Yeah. At least she's that." He sighed and stared at the rushes and herbs covering the floor.

"Maybe she wont be that bad." Alena walked over to his wardrobe to get out an outfit for him. "Here go out this on."

"Yes. The kingdom. My fathers most beloved possession." She had finally stopped crying. "I do not care what I wear. Everything is beautiful."

Edwin took the outfit and went behind the screen to change. "So, um, what are you planning on doing today?"
--
"Oh darling, you know you're his most prized possession!" Maud said symphathetically (yeah, I didn't spell that right :/) as she chose a silvery blue gown from the mahogany wardrobe. She grabbed a pair of matching slippers.
--
Linnet, happy to be free of the dark castle hallways, skipped happily along to the herb garden.

Edwin nodded, even though Alena obviously couldn't see it. He finished buttoning his shirt, then emerged from behind the screen, fully dressed and looking more like a prince.

"Stand up, child, and dry your eyes," Maud said to Gwen as she handed her a silk handkerchief.

Linnet giggled like a child, then took her hood off to feel the sunshine. She made her way slowly along the stone path that led to the herb garden.
