*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Katrina frowned. She truly wished she could tell Gavin the truth, by the truth was not always the best thing.
"Aye, we shall. Do ye want me to carry anythin'?" She asked.

"Here" Gavin handed her a strand of dried peaches and looked around the cave for anything he had forgotten "Back over the mountain we go" He smiled.

(Alena is Crazychick's character)

Katrina took the peaches. She took one last glance at the cave, then followed Gavin. "Was your huntin successful?" She asked

Katrina climbed up beside Gavin. "No, it's fine, I'll tell you. I was 4 when my father died. He was caught poaching on the king's property. And ye know what happens to poachers. As for me ma and I, we were taken to live at the castle. If it weren't for me ma bein' the midwife, we woulda starved. I was only allowed to stay at the castle on account I become indentured to it till I twas 16. Me ma died with the plaque when I was 11." She paused to catch her breath. "Then I turned 16, and me aunt took me in."
---
Richard dismounted and followed, not that he cared.
---
Mariah gasped. "Well, maybe not quite so violent. I was thinking something more subtle, like poison. And you must not, under any circumstance, let anyone know I am the one behind this. You hear? Or you will be hanged," she finished bluntly.

Edwin stood to leave. "And do you love her now?" He asked his father.
---
Linnet grinned. "That's nice. Because I love you too," she replied sweetly.

Audric nodded. "Like I said, we learned to love."

Peter grinned. "So will you come with me?"

"Well..." Gavin frowned "I would say not"
----
"Gwen!" Adrienne bounced up and down "I found her, I fould her! I found her in the...in the castle.." She turned toward Richard "Thank you Richard!" She hugged the knight and bounced toward her sister "Where were you?" She demanded

Gwen smiled. "I was just out for a ride." The lie hurt coming out, the sisters told each other everything. Its for her own good. She thought.

Edwin frowned and left. He didn't believe his father.
---
Linnet smiled and hugged Peter. "Yes, yes, of course!" She exclaimed happily.

Richard quickly left before Adrienne would notice. He went to his room.
---
Katrina laughed. "'Ell did ye catch anythin'?"
---
Edmund tied up the two bags of supplies he had. He sighed and sat down. He didn't want to do what that note said. It was killing him, figuratively. But if he didn't do it, he'd be killed literally.
---
Fawn (wheeeere was she???) knocked on Richard's door.
"Come in," he said.
She entered, closed the door, and sat down.
"What do you want?" He asked, without looking up from a book.
"I thought you'd be wanting a report, on lover boy," Fawn replied.
Richard looked up. "Lover boy? Oh, yeah, him. I don't really care. Knut what do you have?" He asked impatiently.
Fawn relayed what she had heard in the garden during tea.
Richard nodded. "Thank you. You are released from my services," he said as he held out a smal bag of coins.
Fawn frowned, but took the bag and left without a word.
--
Mariah went over her plans. Next she needed to know where on earth her daughter, Jenel was. She picked up the note. Redd, Heleman, Sembil. She rang the bell furiously, till a red faced servant arrived. Talk blah blah, da da da. Servant left the angry Queen by herself. She put her head in her hands, her mind racing. What was she to do with 2 of the people absent and the third busy? Why of course! She rang the bell again. "Find Heleman–now!" She demanded.

Adrienne looked at her sister skeptically "Okay" She finally said "Let's eat something"

"One tiny little pheasant" Gavin sighed "About the size of a kitten" he put his hands up to demonstrate its size "But yeah, I did catch something"

Katrina Laughed. "Well, least I bought some veggies down at the market. A little pheasant can go a long way in a stew," she said cheerfully.
