*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Katrina chuckled. "Good idea, but bad," she laughed. Anna hurried over to them then. "Katrina," she said hurriedly. "A few men from the castle have just been here whilst you were gone. They were concerned something had happened to you, being the princess's maid, and they've come to take you back," she said, breathless.
---
Richard begrudgingly went followed Adrienne. Linnet kissed Peter on the cheek. She simply smiled, then hurried alongside the garden wall so Richard and Adrienne wouldn't see her.
--
Edwin nodded. "Yep, exactly."
---
Mariah smiled stiffly at her son. His manners weren't exactly up to standards. "Good morning, Prunce Cliffton. I believe you forgot to bow as you entered," she said.
---
Edmund mounted his horse and left. Fawn walked slowly back to the castle

Gavin's heart sank. He turned to Katrina for a reaction. Did she want to go back?
---
"Richard!" Adrienne called, patting the bench next to her.
__
Cliffton stood up, half-heartedly bowed, and plopped back down.

Cliffton stood up, half-heartedly bowed, and plopped back down.
Katrina nearly collapsed when her mother told her that. She grabbed Gavin's arm for support. "To–to take me back?" She stuttered.
Anna held her daughters other hand. "Yes, darling. You have a job there. A good job that many other girls your age would so very much love."
Katrina knew she needed to go back, at least for now. "When must I leave?" She nearly whispered.
"They're still here. The guards wish to escort you back now for your safety, they say."
---
Richard scoffed to himself. Here he was, a dignified knight with titles etc. and he was about to braid a chicken's tail for a little girl. He sat down beside Adrienne, but not before looking around to make sure no one was watching.
---
The maid stifled a laugh. Mariah glared at the girl, who quickly pretended to occupy herself arranging a case of flowers. "Cliffton, my dear, how have your studies been going?" She asked

Gavin held Katrina close. He was mad at the guards, whoever they were, and had every intention of forcing them to leave without Katina. He didn't know how though.
---
"You hold these" Adrienne handed Eichard three feathers.
---
"Fine" Cliffton muttered. In truth, he had been neglecting his studies.

Katrina turned to face Gavin. "I must go back," she said quietly. She couldn't depend on her mothers generosity so she needed the job and money. "I'm lucky they aren't here to kill me," she chuckled.
---
Richard did as the girl told him. He continued watching it for other people
---
"Do you like your tutor?" Mariah asked. She sipped her tea daintily

Gavin swallowed hard, but nodded. He understood that a little, even if he'd never worked a day in his life to support himself.
---
"And weave them through these" Adrienne spread apart three more feathers.
---
"He's alright" Cliffton slid his food around in his plate.

Katrina nodded at Anna. "I'll be right there," she said, Anna left them to go talk to the guards.
"Well, this is good bye for now, I guess," Katrina said.
---
Richard clumsily did as Adrienne told him. He was aware of the gardener who had stopped to watch them
--
Mariah laughed. "He's all right? What's the matter with him?" She asked. This was the fifth tutor the kid had had, and she wasn't about to go find another one just because the old one was too strict or whatever

"I guess so" Gavin nodded, trying to keep his voice steady "For now"
---
"Now we weave these together" She passed Richard three more feathers.
---
"He's too old" Cliffton shrugged "And slow"

Katrina smiled sadly. She turned and walked off towards where the guards were waiting.
---
Richard was burning with embarrassment because now there was the gardener and two servants watching. How humiliating. He weaved the feathers through, a little better this time, then waited for the next instructions.

Fawn laughed to herself. She could see the proud knight braiding tail feathers, and it was extremely funny
---
Mariah wiped her mouth on an embroidered handkerchief. "He's old and slow? Aren't they all old and slow," she scoffed. "Son, you are fifteen (right?) and you must take your studies seriously! You are a royal prince, and some day, heaven forbid, you may even have to rule Edinburgh!" She told him
