(Kitchen corner)Luckily it seemed that what Fawn had just said had gone right over Edmunds head. Alfric silently followed them out into the (kitchen?).
Edmund raised an eyebrow. Who on earth would of hired this guy to guard an assassin? Unless, of course, Fawn was supposed to or had done something g for the king tonight. He decided to just straight out ask. "Who hired you?"Alfric sat down between the both of them and rested his arms on the table, wincing as he adjusted his right arm so that it lay crossed beneath his left. "I was hired to guard the good lady Fawn here." He said, sticking to his story. He cocked his head towards Fawn and tried to smile.
Fawn jerked up and shot Alfric a look. Edmund didn't seem to notice, at least if he did, he didn't let on. "And why did the king hire you?" He asked calmly.Alfric coughed nervously and looked to Fawn for help, but he couldn't seem to catch her attention. "The king."

"No, not at all," Will quickly turned his eyes to the ground, now intimidated even more by Alfric.
"Hey, are you all right?" Edmund asked concernedly.
Fawn laughed nervously. "Yes, I'm fine now," she said. She drew back when she thought about how dirty she probably was right now. "Did Alfric find you?" She asked.
"I don't know an Alfric, but a James Cormack directed me down here."
"Ah, yes, James," Fawn chuckled. "Is he here with you?"
"To guard Lady Fawn, Sir. As I said." Alfric replied cooly. He glanced at Fawn and frowned at her, subtly, so that Edmund would not see.Fawn jerked up and shot Alfric a look. Edmund didn't seem to notice, at least if he did, he didn't let on. "And why did the king hire you?" He asked calmly.
