*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Edwin nodded with approval at Alena. "We must bid you farewell, for now, Lady Linnet and Sir Richard," he said politely
--
"Farewell to you too," Linnet and Richard said, with a bow and a curtsy.
--
Edwin held out his arm that was not bearing a falcon for Alena. "Shall we return to the hill?" He asked her.

She giggled. "We shall." She said teasingly.

Edwin, with Alena on one arm and Saxum on the other, began walking up the hill. "Are you coming, Peter?" He asked over his shoulder.
--
Richard offered his arm to Linnet.
"No thank you," she said stiffly as she began walking up the hill, Marigold on her arm.
--
Richard scowled. He swung himself up into his horse with ease, then quickly cantered past Linnet.

"Yeah. I'm coming." Peter called, throwing one last glace at Lady Linnet.

Edwin reached the top of the hill. Saxum, unhooded from earlier, was very eager to go hunting. Edwin untied the leather tong, then held his arm up. The bird looked at him for a moment, then took off.
--
Linnet hooded her bird, then began descending the hill. Richard was already at the mews waiting on her.

Peter unhooded Isaac and let her loose, watching him swoop.
-----
Alena had already unhooded her bird and was fumbling with the tong.

Edwin chuckled as Isaac went in loops. He looked over at Alena. Seeing she needed help, he went to her and untied the tong. "Hold your arm out," he said.
--
Linnet disdainfully returned to the mews. The falconer put Marigold away while Linnet brushed the grass off the hem of her gown. Richard stood by the door waiting with his horse.

Alena held out her arms, and watched the beautiful bird lift off and circle high above. She smiled as the bird dove far down into the grass, coming back with a small rabbit.

Edwin was quite impressed with Silva, the small Merlin. She had been out few times, and here she was, already returning with a rabbit. "Congratulations!" He clapped for Alena. Saxum was still in the brush hunting pheasants.
--
"Would you like to ride upon my horse?" Richard asked Linnet, who had begun walking back to the castle.
--
"No thank you," she said as she sped up her pace as well as she could in her heavy gown.
--
Irritated, Richard put his horse into a canter, passing Linnet.
