Edwin, holding Alena's hand, helped her dismount. He led her over to Gwen. "Your highness, I would of helped you dismount," he said.
Richard, having seen to it that the horses would be groomed and watered, went over to Kat to help her down, as it was obvious she needed it.

Linnet redid her hair in a simple braid wound into a bun. She grabbed a shawl, and hurried to the courtyard to greet Gwen.
