*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Alena shrugged. "I'm used to it."

"Not much longer. We just need to clear the hill." Alex replied.
Katrina felt sorry for the girl. She hadn't recognized her till now. It was Alena, who tended to mainly the prince's room. "How is the family? Anything new with the treaty?" Katrina asked while she picked out and put on a clean dress.
--
Jane looked over Alex's shoulder. "It's huge," she gasped in awe.
--
"I believe he is well. But Peter would know better than I," Linnet replied. Edmund watched while the servant carefully served each plate.
--
Emilee finished her apple. She was going to give it to the horse, but he was no where to be seen. "Drat it, ye old horse!" Emilee got up and began looking around for the big brown draft horse.

Alena was quiet for a moment. "They are as well as a family running the kingdom could be. It is very stressful."

Alex smiled. "It is a very grand estate."

Peter remained awkwardly quiet.

Katrina wondered what she meant exactly, but didn't question further on the subject. "I'll go see to the princesses," she said, leaving quietly. (@Beaky buzzard @casperpopcor where are y'all :()
--
"I see," Jane had lived in a castle all her life, but never one so big as Edinburgh castle. She looked forward to living there.
--
Edmund finished his food. He pushed the plate away and leaned back in his chair. "So, as I was telling Peter here, the *guy who marries people in medieval times* will be here tomorrow evening. He would of come sooner, but he had some funerals and another wedding to attend to."
"Thank you very much for going through this trouble for us," Linnet said gratefully.
"My pleasure. Nothing like helping true love," Edmund chuckled.
---
Emilee wandered around the creek, exasperated. The horse seemed to of just vanished.
(Poor girl)
---
Mariah squealed. She was giddy with excitement. She hadn't seen Jane since Jane was a baby, and the last time she saw Jane's mother, her cousin to some degree, was years ago.

Alena turned back to the washtub, and began to scrub a blouse.

Alex just nodded.

Peter smiled and continued to push the food around on his plate.

Rather than going to the princesses' quarters, Katrina stopped in a dark hallway. Sliding down against the wall, she put her face in her hands and sobbed. She had forgotten how dreary castle work was. Her job wasn't even as hard as Alena's, and Alena seemed to be holding it together. She missed the little dirty cabin she had stayed in for not even a week; she missed her mother and the little pony, Daisy, she missed Gavin.
---
"This really is very kind of you to take me to the castle," Jane said. "I am extremely grateful that you came along when you did."
--
Edmund pushed back his chair. "Well, i think I shall go to the library. I have some papers I need to go over and such. If either of you need anything, don't hesitate to ask the servants. That's what they're paid to do," he laughed at his own stupid joke and turned to leave.
Linnet thanked him. a servant pulled out her chair for her to get up

"It wasn't any trouble." Alex said modestly. "It gave me time to think."

Peter stood and went around the table to Linnet. Offering his arm, he walked out of the dining hall. "How was your trip?"

Jane, ever curious, asked, "About what, may I ask?"
---
Linnet adjusted her silk shawl around her shoulders. "Uneventful. I believe that road was longer than usual," she replied.
--
Fawn returned to her room. The king hadn't given her any missions to do lately since returning from watching Gwen, and she was growing impatient from boredom.
--
Emilee finally gave up searching and went to go gather her bag up to continue her journey

"To bring you." Alex said, heading for the main gate where he was to drop Jane off.

Peter chuckled. "How could the road become longer?"

"No, I meant what were you thinking of?" Jane asked

Linnet leaned her head on Peter's shoulder. "It took way too long, is my point. But now I'm here wth you and that's all that matters," she smiled
