*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Alex shrugged as he stopped at the castle doors. He dismounted and offered Jane his hand. "There is lots to think about." He turned to a servant. "Tell the queen that her guest has arrived."

Peter's smiled turned into a frown. "How will we keep this a secret?"

Jane dismounted gracefully. "Thank you, Sir Alexander, for bringing me here." She curtsied deeply.

The servant knocked on the door "Come in!" Mariah called.
--
"Is that what was worrying you over lunch? You were oddly quiet," Linnet replied.

Edmund sat down at his desk to go over some papers and documents

"My pleasure." Alex said with a half hearted bow. He swung up into the saddle.

Peter shook his head. "No. It was just strange." He said with a laugh.

Jane smiled up at him. "I wish you luck on whatever it is that was on your mind," she said.

"Strange? How so?" Linnet asked

Alex gave her a smile and rode off (into the sunset.) towards the gate.

Peter shrugged. "I just feel as if I shouldn't be here. Like I dont belong."

Jane followed the servant inside. After some explaining, Jane was led first to her room to get cleaned up and change into a loaned dress.

Mariah waited impatiently in the throne room. Audric was nowhere to be seen, which was extremely maddening to Her Royal Highness.
(Where's Edwin?)

Linnet wrapped her arms around Peter. "Sh, shh, Peter. Don't say that," she whispered.

Alena prepared to help in serving the first course. She didn't normally assist in the kitchen, but this feast was going to be grand.

(umm?)

Audric (is a very boring character) finished checking on the preparations. Everything was well.

Peter chuckled. "I'm alright."

(Confused. Where is Alena?)

(Just remembered. Edwin is with Cliffton in the stable. waiting on Madam for half my peeps)

(haha most Kings are. :p )

Jane, dressed in a gown that was a size too small and wearing borrowed jewels, stiffly made her way to the throne room to greet the king and queen.
---
"Peter, everything will be fine. Let's deal with things one thing at a time. If you are having doubts, well, no one knows what we're doing so you can change your mind," Linnet smiled up at him.

(in the dining hall, preparing for their lady in waiting)

Peter frowned. "Why would I change my mind?"
(Ah ok)

Katrina led Jane to the entry of the throne room. She curtsied, then left.
"Lady Jane," a butler guy said, opening the doors. Mariah waited impatiently on her rather uncomfortable throne. Jane lightly walked through the doorway, curtsied, continued walking, and curtsied again in front of Mariah.
---
"You've just seemed a little distant since I arrived," Linnet leaned her head on Peter's shoulder.
