*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Cliffton groaned "my horse is I'm possible peril and your going to read!?" He stamped.
---
Gavin clung to the horse for dear life. He hadn't even ridden a horse until yesterday, and now he was trying to control a crazy horse.
---
Edwin let go of the door handle causing the door to slam in Cliffton's way. "Hm. Perhaps father is downstairs already," he said, more to himself than anyone. Jane just nodded, looking around the magnificent library wide-eyed. "So many books," she muttered, running her slim hand over the spines of some.

Katrina, in her haste to finish the fires, slipped on a loose stone and fell, the bucket of fire wood falling beside her. "Stupid stone. Stupid castle! Stupid–" she shut up when footsteps were heard nearby.
---
Emilee's mood was slightly lightened when she saw a town not far ahead. Adjusting the bag to her other shoulder, she sped up, eager to arrive

Cliffton just groaned and plodded after Edwin.
---
Cedric came to the gate of Edinburgh. When he saw no guards, he dismounted his horse and climbed over the wall.
---
The palace horse stormed up to Edinburgh.

Edwin, not bothering to check that the two were keeping up, continued in long strides across the library to another door, which he opened. Jane hurried to catch up
---
Katrina set the bucket upright and placed the logs back in it.
--

Clifton ran to keep up with the other two and followed Edwin through door
---
Cedric plopped down on the other side of the wall into the orchard. No one was there. Perfect.
---
The palace horse sped past the only guard at the palace gate, Gavin still clinging to its back.
"Hey!" Genevieve called "You're unauthorized to enter! And why've you got the prince's horse!?" She started to run after him, but being the only gate guard on duty, she wasn't allowed to leave her post.

Edwin held the door open this time, but only long enough for Jane to pass. He released it, it once again slamming in Cliffton's way. Jane looked around the room they were now in. She sighed in awe at the elegant tapestries hanging on the wall
---
Katrina left the bucket alone and went to the window to look out. The day was beautiful and here she was shoveling coal and fixing fires. She sighed disappointedly.
---
Linnet set her book down and laid her head on a pillow.
--
Fawn continued on her ride, determined to get there before dark

Clifton stamped, opened the door, and stormed inside "Edwin!" He complained.
---
Cedric climbed up in a peach tree.
---
The palace horse ran through the orchard toward the stables. Gavin lost his grip by an apple tree and face-planted on the ground.

"hm?" Edwin barely acknowledged Cliffton. Jane turned to face the poor kid. "What's your horse's name?" She asked, trying to calm the conversation before it even got fired up
--
Katrina's eyes widened when she saw the escapee horse. And was that–no, it couldn't be. She went back to the bucket to finish her task
--
Edmund paced his library, impatient.

"Clyde" Cliffton answered, glaring at Edwin.
---
"My my" Cedric dropped down from the peach tree and strutted over to where Gavin was "What have we here?"
Gavin quickly got to his feet. He limped a step back from Cedric "What are you doing here?" He demanded.

Edwin continued on his way, ignoring or forgetting the two. He was in his own little world of thought. "That's a nice name," Jane said politely
--
Katrina lugged the bucket back downstairs

"Thanks" Cliffton smiled slightly "What are you even doing Edwin?"
---
"I've been looking for you for a long time" Cedric said, feigning niceness. He reached down to his boot and pulled out a dagger "Tell me...why did you leave?" He breathed on his dagger and whipped it on his sleeve.
Gavin stepped back "You know why" He grabbed for his own knife just in case but it had fallen out in the stream the day before.
