*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Jane tilted her head a little to the side, looking Redd in eye. "Oh no, I couldn't possibly. I'd slow you down," she said. "Besides, the queen is throwing a lavish feast just for me, yay," she chuckled.

Edwin crossed his arms and shot Alena a very serious look. "How dare you–why didn't you do that earlier?" He grinned. "Where–I guess you've been busy. Are you okay?"

Katrina gave Gavin the medicine. "That should help you relax, sleep," she said quietly.
---
Richard's face was equally as red. "Oh, Kat, I didn't recognize you at first. How–how are you?" He stammered.

Maud opened the door again to leave. "I'm going to go check on your sister now," she said.
---
Edmund leaned back in his chair. It was still a while till supper. "So, you two, looking forward to tomorrow?" He laughed awkwardly. Linnet smiled softly, looking At her lap.
Fawn looked up. She had ridden hard to get there and was exhausted from the ride.
--

Relax? Gavin thought that would be impossible, but his exhaustion quickly got the better of him.
---
Adrienne fed Calder mealworms.

Katrina sat down on the bench beside Gavin. Taking his hand again, she leaned against the wall. Hopefully no one would be looking for her in the busyness of the dinner preparations.
---
Emilee gave the tavern owner a few coins in return for a meal and a place to sleep for the night. The sky promised to rain more and she didn't intend to get stuck in it again.
---

Gavin was totally unaware of everything, including his misery, as he hung somewhere between sleep and unconsciousness.
---
Adrienne picked up Calder and plodded in the living room (or whatever they called it) and layed down on the couch, staring at the ceiling. She was concidering going outside for a stroll.

Cliffton rode his horse over to the stables and handed the reigns to the stable boy. He had Clyde back, but that didn't do much for his despair over his candlestick.

Jephry returned to his room after hunting with his falcon for awhile.

Genevieve was relieved from duty by a replacement gate guard and slowly wandered her way back to the castle to ask if anyone had heard anything about the mysterious rider with the prince's horse.

Redd smirked. "Not into parties?"

Alena smiled at his joke. "I'm alright I suppose. I cant stop thinking about your mother though."

Kat stood and dusted off her trousers. "Couldn't be better." She said sarcastically.

"Thank you." Gwen said sadly.

Peter smiled. He still didnt like it here. "Wouldn't you. If you were to be married that is."

Katrina felt Gavin's forehead. No fever. That was a good sign. She leaned down and gently kissed his forehead, unaware of the nurse who had returned. "You came back," she whispered (to Gavin)
Nurse lady left quietly

Maud knocked on Adrienne's door.
--
The tavern was hot and musky, so Emilee decided to sit out on the porch to eat her stew.
-
Jane shrugged. "No, I do enjoy them. But when there's fun and adventure to be had, parties and feasts are suddenly very boring," she replied.
---
Edwin glanced around the hallway nervously. "Still scaring you, eh? Try to ignore it."
--
Richard nodded at her, but avoided making eye contact. Something about the woman seemed either strange or right, he couldn't decide which. And until he could decide, he didn't necessarily want a deep conversation, which tended to follow after one made eye contact. But he also kinda wanted to talk. But not that much. He couldn't decide.
---
Fawn's attention snapped back to reality at Peter's reply. She sat up a bit straighter, but pretended to be interested in the huge fireplace.
Linnet watched the two men carefully. Peter seemed unusually on edge, and it unnerved her.
Edmund thought a moment. " I suppose so. But that isn't the case. It's you, and your lovely lady, who are," he replied carefully.

Redd laughed. "There is no adventure to be had for a lady in waiting."

Alena looked at her feet. "I will try."

"What brings you out here?" Kat asked.

Peter nodded and watched as the servants brought out wide silver platters."

"Indeed, that is the problem. Now you know why the queen throws so many grand feasts. Boredom." Jane figured she ought to be getting back to the Hall, but wasn't quite ready to end a perfectly good conversation yet.

Edwin smiled softly at Alena. When he was with her everything just felt Normal and peaceful. He didn't have to keep up Royal standards and manners and sophisticated conversation, he could just be himself.

(Is Kat Edin? Richards at Alnwick still. )

Edmund couldn't see what it was that Linnet seemed to find in Peter. So far neither had been very talkative, but he at least knew Linnet a little better and she was usually quiet. He stared at Peter for a moment, thinking.

Gavin sighed softly.
---
Adrienne heard a knock just down the hall and wondered if it was Maud. She jumped off the couch and ran to the door, poking her head out "I'm in here!" She called.

Katrina leaned back against the wall again, wondering if sleep might be possible. She'd made up all the fires and tidied the rooms. Perhaps in the busyness she would be forgotten for a spell.
---
"Oh," Maud adjusted the tray and scurried to the room Adrienne was in. "Would you care for more tea, Princess?" She asked. (All she does is give tea :gig )
---
Emilee stared in disgust at the dry and chunky stew. It certainly wasn't worth the coins she gave for it.

Mariah went looking for her sons.
