*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

"Good. I'd hate to have that as my first impression upon the royal family." Edmund stared at Lariah for a moment before turning to leave.
She gave him a long glance before turning around with a nod. Lariah pondered about Edmund for awhile as she started walking down to the stables. He must know somewhere here if he is from Alnwick. Wonder if I'll happen to come across him again. She went to her horse's stall. Her horse was a handsome dutch warmblood with a dark bay coat. She got the lead and attached it to his halter and led him to a post. She left him there, hastily got back into her room in the castle and changed to appropriate riding clothes. Lariah then went back to her horse, Aster, tacked him, mounted him then rode off to the path leading towards the forest.

Edmund waited patiently while the doctor-whatever-he-is applied some salves and stuff to his back. Edmund pulled out his money pouch and gave the guy what he was due.
On his way back to his horse, Edmund remembered why he was even at Edinburgh. Maybe he would just come back a different day to see Peter.

Lariah went quietly into the forest with Aster. Gentle willows swayed with the light breeze. She was getting closer to the river, so near that she could feel the river. A crack behind her made lAriah whip around.
Edmund mounted his horse, not without some trouble, and headed home. He would return in a couple of days to see Peter. As he was leaving, a servant ran into the paddock calling after him but Edmund was already gone.

Nothing. Lariah could've sworn she saw a shadow go past. She decided to turn around and investigate.
Edmund headed home in the now pouring rain. By the time he arrived at his lonely little castle, he was soaked and his back felt worse than ever. He typically took care of his horse after rides, but this time he just thrust the reins into the stable lad's hands and hurried inside.

Lariah saw the lithe outline of a doe. She let out a sigh and turned Aster around. She wandered for a bit before she found a well worn path. With empty time on her hands, she decided to follow the road.

Edmund requested that his supper be brought up to his rooms. He changed into dry clothes, then reapplied the salve that the physician has given him. Sitting down in an oversized chair, he picked up a book to read but couldn't focus. He was bored with the current state of things. Nothing had happened in months concerning the supposed marriage contract between the prince and princess, not even a feast between the two kingdoms to prove their alliance.
He set the book down and went over to stand by the fireplace. A feast would be nice. Maybe even a ball.

Fawn wandered aimlessly around Alnwick castle. It was raining too hard now to even think about riding or going for a walk, so she resorted to exercising her legs by walking around the castle.
-------
Redd decided to go see if he could pick up any gossip of importance from the kitchen. The kitchen servants tended to be the most chatty concerning the castle's affairs.
