Love all of the colors! The eggs will come. Today our two hens and all six pullets paid the rent.
We buy our feed from a local grain store in Taunton , MA. We generally feed layer pellets. When the girls slow down and molt we shift to either game pellets or to grower. Their feeds are listed on the website.Question....what feed do you give your laying pullets/hens? As of right now I'm thinking this will remain a 'no boys allowed' coop. I've been reading off and on, on BYC and I'm seeing so many answers. Keep them on starter, switch to all flock, go with layer. So confusing!
It's ultimately up to you. I feed a 20% protein flock raiser with free choice grit and oyster/egg shell on the side. This works best for me because I don't have to do any changing of food if I get new chicks or have a broody hatch chicks because they can all eat it.Question....what feed do you give your laying pullets/hens?
