I currently have 15 duck eggs in an incubator. We lost their mom so I’m desperately trying to save these babies. 3days ago I put them on lockdown and I’m just now seeing 3 of the 15 externally pip. No zipping yet so I was curious if it would be safe to open the incubator to add more water and arrange the eggs in some better places or if opening will cause them to shrink wrap. My 4yr old son bumped the incubator and some of the eggs rolled into each other so I’m just nervous something bad happened.

Do not worry about the arrangement they are fine. After the first one hatches it will arrange them all. Do you know what the humidity is? The humidity will climb when they hatch as well.

Ok perfect! I haven’t messed with them and I have pipped. Just waiting on them to start unzipping. This was my first batch so I’m excited and nervous. Humidity is in the 70’s. It bounces from 72-75%

This one is working hard. We have 6 more starting to pip! This is so exciting!
