Let me join too!! I have 4 chicks coming either this week or next. I have everything ready and waiting. I am dying here, waiting for the chicks to come. I work on tues, wed, thurs so I left instructions for hubby (who works from home) on what to do when the PO calls.

I'm getting a RIR, Salmon Faverolles, Australorps, and a Silver Laced Wyandottes from My Pet Chicken.

These will be my first chickens. The pics of chicks here are driving me crazy!!!

Can I join. I was all ready until my order was postponed due to a shortage of eggs. This really worked well due to the weather here, plus it gave me a chance to increase my order.........shhhhhh don't tell my DH. He don't know that part. I just told him I need another brooder that I don't think the one that is all ready to for arriving chicks is gonna be big enough.
Ahhhhhhhhh....anticipation.

I'm also playing expectant chick mom. I have to wait till May at the very least-we have over 2 feet of snow in the yard and nighttime temps below zero (even lower with wind chill)!

inuyasha, it's really pretty at night! I love it in the summer, you can really cool off.

Is anyone else having chick dreams, I mean literally?? I've had at least three dreams now, it's like I'm practicing in my sleep, lol!

We're in the North Woods of Wisconsin about an hour south of Lake Superior. The summers here are supposed to be great (we just moved here in September and only got to spend one week here last August while househunting). I really love the space and the green-don't even mind the cold!-but I am anxious to get started on my first bacth of chicks!

I just ordered online for ideal. I orderd 25 pullets; large brown egg layers. I have actually filled out the order form 3 times and then cancelled; the last three weeks. I finally ordered and commited today. I am so worried about the weather, etc. I thought about driving to Ideal to pick them up as I am in Oklahoma. Because of the positive responses of people who have ordered form Ideal, I decided to go ahead and hav them shipped. I am sooooo anxious. I know you all understand.

Im joining too. I have a broody that's sitting on eggs, and I dont know when they are going to hatch! I go out every day hoping to find babies but I have yet.
