Great job resisting all of those feed store babies. I wouldn't be able to resist the ducks. Un Un..no way. They'd come home with me, but I haven't ran across any.

My order from Cackle will definetly be here tommorow. I have been monkeying with my brooder, trying to get the heat just right all day. I think I've got it.

I sure hope they all arrive safe and sound! I'll give you an update when they get here!

Waiting on chicks-due Apr. 21, so haven't even been laid yet.

Working on building a nifty brooder.

Printed out chick photos of the breeds I'm getting and stuck them on the fridge.

CAN'T WAIT!!!

From the sound of everyone here, including me, there should be "chick showers", like baby and wedding showers

I'mmmmmm baaaaack.
I was not suppose to get my replacement chicks from Ideal until sometime in April. They were all sold out until them.
They called yesterday. Shipping my Iowa Blues April 2nd along with a few Sultans I added to my order for my SIL. I was so excited when they called I can't remember if she said my cornish are shipping with this group or not.
I am not calling them to ask. I feel like I know the folks at Ideal personally I have called them so much. But they have all been so nice and helpful that they make it all so easy. Two Thumbs up to
Ideal Poultry.

I have done the same. I am getting so antsy. I pick up my peeps on 4/2. It cannot come quickly enough.

Jumping on this bandwagon. Picked up my plastic brooder box and feeders today. Already had a heat lamp laying around. Feed store won't have the chicks until the 28th. I already feel like I've been waiting forever, one more week will be excruciating. Still cold here though, it would be even worse if it were warm.

I am waiting too. Ordering through Agway, but they'll call when they order (ahhhhhh) which makes it even tougher. So, I'm waiting to be waiting, if that makes any sense!

It's still darn cold here so it's really for the best.

Still I need more pictures of chicks!
