I think it will help. I have been doing the same and it is just starting to make a difference. Worse than the Columbians though are my Golden Laced Polish. They squawk like I am trying to kill them every time I touch them. I am hoping they grow out of it and I can be patient. Eventually they will learn to love us for one reason or another. Meal worms is a good reason I have plenty because we are raising them now.

Which one? The one in the back looks like a White Crested Black Polish from that angle. The one laying down is hard to tell, but it looks like a darker lavender Orphington.
