I'm running around outside trying to get all my outside chores done before night and the storms comes again. I notice the hummingbird feeders are pretty much empty. I have the mixture for the feeders all ready in the house, so I took them down one at a time and brought them in for a cleaning and a refilling.
I took the one feeder back out and several hummers immediately descended on it. I take the second feeder back out and there's a hummer hovering around the bracket that holds the 2nd feeder up. I holler at him to be patient while I struggle to reach high enough to hang the feeder back up. Living in a house designed for and built by tall people, my short butt is always struggling to reach things.
The hummer got tired of waiting and landed on my arm, sticking his/her little neck out trying to reach the feeder in my hand.
Dagnabbit, even the wild critters around here are turning me into their servant!
