Thank you! I think I have one with the same hole punch and one without... Your dark egg may be similar to my Marans girls - if so, I may have trouble telling them apart :/

Interesting -- I have a dominique and a legbar. They're both laying. But my easter egger (looks like a favaucana mix) and my welly, not so much.Mine is 6_month and not laying either. Her and also a black austrolurp are same age and not laying. My welsummer has became a talker. She's the loudest
Hey everyone, I'm new to the thread. I was wondering if anyone here is from Va or close to Va? I'm looking for some Wellies. I had a fox take all of mine recently, but I am in the process of putting 2 hot wires around the run so that won't happen again and they will be locked in the coop at night. I was so happy to get a flock of Welsummers and I'd had them for several months and then lost all but 1 pullet in 1 night. It's so frustrating. We found the fox's den and are waiting for him to show himself again, once he does that'll be it for that fox.
That's a bit of a hike for me, lol. I found a breeder in Hanover which is a bout 2 hours or so from me but she won't have anything til spring. It's so frustrating cause mine were almost to POL and now I have to start over. Either from the very beginning (eggs) or shortly after (day old chicks). But, once I get more I won't loose them again, we found the fox that took all of them. Once we get rid of him we're putting a hot wire all the way around the bottom of the fence and reinforcing everything and they'll be locked in the coop at night. We so go to the BRP sometimes, if we plan a trip up there this spring I'll PM you and see if you have any eggs or chicks. I was thinking of ordering from one of the hatcheries but they always have a minimum order amount and I don't have alot of room set up at the moment for 15 or more chicks, lol. From Botetourt County! I only have two welsummers, but I plan to order more this spring, or, at least hatch some. Both my wellie girls went broody last summer, so hatching may be the way to go.
