Hello everyone, I am fairly new to the chicken family. We have dabbled with a couple hens and rooster here and there for three or four years. This spring however I dove right in and now am a proud mamma hen of 18 hens and 4 roosters. I have four welsummers and love them! I do have a question about one though; they are all supposed to be hens but the markings and coloring of one is different than the others. It seems to have more dark, lg comb but the feathers look to be rounded not pointed. She does seem to be the dominating hen of the four. I keep going back and forth whether a roo accidentally got in with the pullets at the farm store or if I am paranoid. The reason I am paranoid two of my roosters were supposed to be hens when they were sold to me.
Any advice on how to know for sure now that they are older?
