Ok this is to clear up what I posted wrong late one night as it has rubbed some people wrong.
I don't want to confuse anyone and I fixed where I did not catch the u before the a in spelling sorry again. I did not mean to hit it off so well with some.![]()
Hope this clears the air and we can get back to the welsummers and hopefully forgive and forget.
Hope y'all have a great day and best wishes will all your breeds!
My corrections are as follows. Please note this is just leg color I did not add what the bottom of feet color should be-
Araucanas- black to dark willow on blks and blk breasted red ,gold and silver duckwing willow and white -yellow ( colors on legs)
Ameraucanas- slate to blk
Sorry for the mix up hope this clears it up. It is out of the 2010 asop book.
Just for clarity and future information... In case I am the person being referred to, I was not rubbed the wrong way and the post did not hit me one way or the other. The Ameraucana just happens to be one of the breeds I show and there is probably more misinformation out there about the breed than there is correct information. So when I posted my comments it was purely and simply to provide accurate information for anyone who might be reading the comments including the OP who had pictures of her birds on her post.
The problem with written communication is that it can often be misinterpreted and things can be read into it that was not originally meant. It's a good idea to give the benefit of the doubt and be a little thick skinned so if one does reply to your post and/or correct something that was said, one doesn't take it personally. I don't think anyone on here intentionally tries to offend someone or be demeaning. Certainly not I.
Whether it's about Welsummers or some other breed, the important thing is that accurate and correct information is given so that others are not misled.
God Bless,
