at three weeks, if I wanted to get rid of one, I would keep any that have a deeper yellow leg coloring. I would also look and see if there are any obvious comb issues coming on. Honestly though, you really have to wait to see what they are going to look like if you want to pick the best. Fast developing doesn't always mean better. I would also look at personality, are some friendlier than the others?Recently I hatched out 2 pullets and 4 cockerels. I dont want to grow out all of the cockerels so need to choose 2 to keep. How, at 3 weeks of age, do you choose them? 2 have developed much earlier than the rest; should I keep those? Or is it just way too early to really know how they're gonna turn out?
Anyone in Ks, Mo need some cockerels? They are originally from Whitmore Farms, directly from Bethel Farms (Ruth).
